West Mississippi Hunting Retriever Club

West Mississippi Hunting Retriever Club was established on March 14, 1997 by then President Dr. Tom Weeks, Vice President Rowdy Nosser, and Secretary Kimble Slaton.


West Mississippi Hunting Retriever Club is governed by a standard set forth by the Hunting Retriever Club, Inc., sanctioned by the United Kennel Club. Along with hunt test, we regularly hold training days and social gatherings for the purpose of the common interest in hunting retrievers.

Training Days

West Mississippi Hunting Retriever Club's main focus is to help educate all that come out on training days to improving their hunting retriever and companion. Training days are open to all breeds, and all persons. We encourage men, women, and kids; young and old to participate. Training days are focused around fun and enjoyment for everyone.

Hunt Test

West Mississippi Hunting Retriever Club maintains a common sense, hunting realism in testing hunting retrievers. The test are directly related to hunting the retriever in the field for waterfowl and upland game. Participation in hunt test events are open to all versatile breeds that can do the work. Hunt test are great fun for everyone.
